Coleman Houston quietly worked his way towards the brushy area. Keeping
his fingers crossed he could get  close enough to the velvet covered 4X3 Black
Tailed buck he'd glassed earlier. He had his BowTech compound bow set at
a 60 pound draw and his 100 grain Muzzy broadhead tipped arrow nocked
and ready to fly. As he crept closer he noticed movement that stopped him
in his tracks. The fuzzy racked buck was leisurely ambling through the brush.
Working faster Coleman gained much needed yardage on the buck. When
the buck appeared in the open grassland, Coleman knew he had better
take the shot. Aiming high on his 50 yard bow sight, Coleman drew and
let the arrow fly. That arrow dropped the buck where he stood!  Stepping
off the yardage, Coleman had made an incredible 65 yard shot! What
a great openning day hunt in the mountains around Cool, California!
